- Candidates must have passed their Class 12th exam with at least 50% marks and 4 years of B.El.Ed. OR
- Candidates must have passed their Class 12th examination with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Primary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002. OR
- Candidates must have passed their Class 12th examination with minimum 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
- Candidates must have passed BA/B.Sc. / B.Com. and a 2-year diploma in primary education (known by whatever name) and have:
i. Certificate of Qualified Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET)/School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET)
ii. Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/BA/MA with Hindi as one of the subjects
