Selection Process, Training & Service Bond Details
- Selection Mode : Merit list will be prepared purely based on GATE-2026 normalized scores (out of 100) in the respective discipline. (Scores of GATE 2025 or prior are not valid).
- No Written Exam / Interview : Direct merit-based recruitment through GATE-2026 score followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination.
- Training Period : 01 Year (03 months academic training at NPTI/designated institute with minimum 65% qualifying marks + 09 months field training in DTL substations/offices).
- Pay Scale on Absorption : Placed in Pay Level-09 during training and absorbed into regular Pay Level-10 post successful completion.
- Service Agreement Bond : Selected candidates must execute a 3-year service bond: Rs. 5,00,000/- for General/OBC/EWS and Rs. 2,50,000/- for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
