- Age Relaxation : 05 years for SC, ST, OBC, PwD, and Children/Grand Children of Freedom Fighters (WFF) of Himachal Pradesh.
- H.P. Govt Employees Age Limit : Relaxable up to 45 years for HPAS and other posts (Tehsildar, BDO, Treasury Officer) and up to 42 years for HPPS / District Controller posts.

HPPSC HPAS 2026 Selection Scheme & Examination Pattern
- Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Screening Test)
- Stage 2: Main Written Examination
- Stage 3: Personality Test (Interview).
- Preliminary Examination Pattern (Objective Type | 400 Marks) :
• Paper-I: General Studies: 100 Questions (200 Marks) – 2 Hours (Merit determining paper)
• Paper-II: Aptitude Test: 100 Questions (200 Marks) – 2 Hours (Qualifying paper with minimum 33% marks) - Negative Marking in Prelims : Deductions of 1/3rd (0.33) marks for every wrong answer.
- Main Examination Structure : Includes 6 Compulsory Papers (English, Hindi, Essay, GS-I, GS-II, GS-III) and 2 Optional Subject Papers. Candidates must score at least 40% in compulsory English & Hindi papers.
- Exam Cities : Bilaspur, Chamba, Hamirpur, Kangra, Dharamshala, Palampur, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Nahan, Solan, Una, Sundernagar, and Rampur Bushahr.

- Visit the official website of HPPSC at hppsc.hp.gov.in/hppsc.
- Click on “Apply Online” on the homepage and complete “One Time Registration (OTR)” if not registered previously.
- Log in to your dashboard, select “H.P. Administrative Service Combined Competitive Examination-2026 (Advt No. 59/8-2026)”, and choose your optional subject and exam center preference.
- Upload scanned copies of required documents: Matriculation certificate (age proof), Bachelor Degree marksheets, Bonafide Himachali/Category/EWS certificates (if applicable), signature, passport photo, and capture your Live Photo.
- Pay the uniform application fee of Rs. 600/- via online digital payment modes.
- Submit the online application on or before 22 September 2026 (11:59 PM) and print out the application confirmation page for future reference.
