Application Fee

• For All Categories (Male & Female) : Rs. 550/- plus 18% GST
• Payment Channels : The non-refundable examination fee must be deposited online via the payment gateway through Net Banking, Debit Cards, Credit Cards, or UPI.

Age Limit

• DOB Range Mandate : Candidates born between 01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.
• Maximum Enrolment Upper Age Boundary : If a candidate clears all the selection stages, the maximum age on the date of enrolment should not exceed 22 Years.

Passed 3 years Engineering Diploma Course (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation, or IT) from a recognized Polytechnic institute with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

OR

Passed 2 years Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Other Than Science SubjectsPassed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent in any stream or subjects from recognized boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

OR

Passed 2 years Vocational Course from recognized boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Rounding Off Rule InstructionFraction marks will not be rounded off (e.g., 49.99% will be counted as 49% and declare unfit)

Mandatory Medical & Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Benchmarks

• Acceptable Height Standards : Minimum acceptable height for both Male and Female candidates is 152 cms. Females from the North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand have a relaxed baseline of 147 cms, and those from Lakshadweep require 150 cms.
• Chest Circumference & Expansion : For Male candidates, the minimum chest circumference should be 77 cms with an expansion of at least 05 cms. For Female candidates, a well-proportioned chest wall with a minimum expansion of 05 cms is required.
• Physical Fitness Test (PFT-1) Run : Shortlisted candidates must execute a 1.6 Km run. The maximum permissible time limit is within 7 Minutes for Male candidates and within 8 Minutes for Female candidates.
• Male Candidates PFT-2 Exercises : 10 Push-ups (1 minute), 10 Sit-ups (1 minute), and 20 Squats (1 minute) conducted after defined recuperation breaks.
• Female Candidates PFT-2 Exercises : 10 Sit-ups (1 minute 30 seconds) and 15 Squats (1 minute).
• Visual & Dental Standards : Visual acuity must be 6/12 in each eye, correctable to 6/6. Refractive error limits are Hypermetropia +2.00 D and Myopia -1.00 D. LASIK/PRK history profiles will not be accepted. Healthy gums with a minimum of 14 dental points are required. Permanent body tattoos are restricted except on specific permissible zones.

Sequence of Selection Examination Phases

• Phase-I Online Test : Objective type bilingual test (English & Hindi) with negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer. Science stream duration is 60 minutes. Non-Science duration is 45 minutes (English, Reasoning & General Awareness RAGA). Combined stream duration is 85 minutes. Raw test scores will be normalized.
• Phase-II Testing Checkpoint : Shortlisted candidates must report to designated ASC venues with color printouts of their application form and admit card. This stage includes initial document verification, the Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Adaptability Test-I, and Adaptability Test-II.
• Phase-III Medical Examination : Candidates clearing the adaptability checkpoints will undergo medical examinations conducted by an Air Force Medical Team. Unfit candidates can lodge an appeal (AMB) by depositing Rs. 40/-.
• Regular Cadre Induction Option : Upon completing the 4-year tenure, Agniveervayu can apply for regular enrolment. Up to 25% of each batch will be absorbed into the regular cadre as Airmen based on organizational performance parameters. They are not entitled to ESM status upon initial 4-year discharge. Non-contributory life insurance cover of Rs. 48 Lakhs is provided.

Meticulous Scan Specifications & How to Register Online

• Applications must be processed online through the portal at afrecruitment.cdac.in from 11:00 AM on 06 July 2026 until 23:00 PM on 26 July 2026. Duplicate entries will face cancellation.
• Photograph Specifications : Upload a recent passport-size color photograph (captured within one month before registration) sized between 100 KB to 200 KB in JPG/JPEG formats. The photograph must show the candidate holding a black slate in front of their chest with their name and date of photography written clearly with white chalk in capital letters.
• Signature Specifications : The candidate must sign on plain white paper using a black ink pen. Scan and upload only the cropped signature zone (Size window: 80 KB to 150 KB in JPG/JPEG format). Candidates below 18 years must also upload their parent/guardian’s signature image.
• Thumb Impression Specifications : Scan and upload the left-hand thumb impression inked via a stamp pad on plain white paper (Size window: 50 KB to 100 KB in JPG/JPEG format).
• Live Image Verification : A live photo capture is mandatory during online registration. The system matches facial features against the uploaded passport photograph, and application submission is permitted only upon a successful match. Enter the last 4 digits of your Aadhaar card (exempted for J&K, Ladakh, Assam, and Meghalaya). Candidates must choose five exam city choices in order of preference.
