About Post : Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has officially released the advertisement notice for the Preliminary Eligibility Test (UP PET 2026) under Advertisement No. 16-Pariksha/2026 on 01 August 2026. UP PET is a mandatory screening examination conducted for shortlisting candidates for various Group B and Group C posts in UP government departments. Online registration begins on 03 August 2026, and the last date to submit the application form is 01 September 2026.   • Exam Duration & Mode : 2 Hours (120 Minutes) | Objective Type Offline OMR / CBT Exam.
  • Questions & Marks : 100 Objective Questions carrying 100 Marks (1 Mark per Question).
  • Negative Marking : 1/4th (0.25) mark deduction for each incorrect answer.
  • Subjects Covered : Indian History (5), Indian National Movement (5), Geography (5), Indian Economy (5), Indian Constitution & Public Administration (5), General Science (5), Elementary Arithmetic (5), General Hindi (5), General English (5), Logic & Reasoning (5), Current Affairs (10), General Awareness (10), Unseen Hindi Passages (10), Graph Interpretation (10), Table Interpretation (10).
  • Score Validity : UP PET Scorecard will be valid for 3 years from the result declaration date.
