Application fee

  • Only costs for paper I or paper II
  • General, EWS, BC: Rs. 1300/-
  • SC, ST: Rs. 700/-
  • Cost for both papers
  • General, BC, EWS: Rs. 1500/-
  • SC, ST: Rs. 800/-
  • Candidates have to pay their exam fees only through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI and other payment methods.

JHTET Online Form 2026: Educational Qualification

Class Eligibility
Primary level teachers (grades 1 to 5)
  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with at least 50% marks (or 45% as per NCTE rules) along with or appearing in a 2-year Diploma in Primary Education (BTC/D.El.Ed), or a 4-year B.El.Ed, or a 2-year Diploma in Special Education. Alternatively, candidates with a bachelor’s degree and a two-year primary education diploma are also eligible.
Upper primary school teacher (classes 6 to 8)
  • Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications: a bachelor’s degree taken together with or appearing in a 2-year diploma in primary education (BTC/D.El.Ed); or Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% (or 45% as per NCTE rules) and B.Ed/LT/Shiksha Shastri; or 10+2 with minimum 50% and a 4-year B.El.Ed or BA/B.Sc.Ed; or Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% and B.Ed in Special Education; or a Master’s degree with 55% marks and a 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed course.
